great day

I received a quote request through my website that had a Husky & a Black Lab. come to find out the Husky had a play date with a skunk lastnight that played too rough and sprayed her in the face, always fun to get that in my van :) The Lab was shedding like crazy. I showed up and immediately the skunk odor radiated off of her. Oh yah, it was pretty stinky. I shampooed her 4 times and she still had a small amount of skunk on her but not over powering like she was. The parents had left to vote. By the time they came back the kids were finished. I love seeing their surprise when they see their kids all clean and de-shedded. Having a great business that I love and put my love into?? priceless...

New Week!

It's been an interested weekend. I got released from CMH due to not being in compliance with the flu shot vaccination. One I didn't want in the first place since they have made it mandatory last year. I have the paperwork saying I got the flu shot on 10/30. It was supposed to be in 10/31 which I sent in but didn't get sent in on time due to my phone not working correctly. By the time it got to them it was waaay too late. I have proof that I sent it and dated for the 30th but they didn't want it. Oh well, I think things happen for a reason. I think my van was meant to get fixed and running correctly and to get things rolling for this reason! This is what I love and what my passion is. More time for my business, more time for my health and more time for my family. What to do with my time? Make time for the gym, my dogs, my honey, sewing and when it gets warmer ... bike rides!!! Yahooweee!

I want to be better

I want to be a better groomer. I want this business more than I've ever wanted it. Being positive and having a positive attitude towards ups AND downs will get you everywhere. Being negative will only bring negativity into your world. Just know you can't change some things, and know what they are before you get upset. We can make choices and we have to deal with whatever consequences arrive. Hopefully they are the good decisions, if not learn from them and don't do it again. That's all I'm going to say....

I finally figured out the calender situation to sync with my phone and PC. That was so annoying but I finally figured it out from looking on google and a forum that is having the same annoyance. I hope they figure that situation out soon because it's a pain in the booty. I did talk to a great lady today. She is a mobile groomer from the Northland that has been working for quite some time now and I hope to get with her to help her with her marketing part for google adwords. I'm BAAAAAAaaaack! I'm back to grooming. I have been in a discouraging place for the past year and have had friends that have supported me and pretty much showed me the 'duh' moment. Thank goodness I have good friends and family that have faith in me and got me off my booty and move onward and upward. So here I am again and am going to stay this time :)
